I'm Not Just A Realtor®, I'm A Home Buyer!

Do you remember those old commercials from Hair Club For Men? The ones where the president boldly declared, "I'm not just the president, I'm a client!" Well that's how I feel right now. Ok, go ahead and get the bald jokes out of the way now. I know it's coming, but if you can't laugh at yourself, you aren't living right?


But I digress. Let me get to the point. I have been telling my clients for the last couple months that it's time to get in on the real estate market while the getting is good. Home prices in Poinciana Florida fell 67% between the beginning of 2007 and the end of 2008. That’s a pretty dramatic statistic.

Well here is the good news. Prices only fell 7% in 2009, and there have been a couple of months recently where they have actually risen.

So here is my bold declaration: "I'm not just a Realtor®, I'm a home buyer!” I just bought a home in Poinciana, Florida myself. I won’t go into all the details but let’s just say I got one heck of a deal. OK, that’s an
understatement. I got an absolutely incredible deal. I don’t think there is a stronger way of telling you that I think it’s a great time to buy than to just lead by example.


Do you see that big beautiful house in the top left of this post? Yup, that is now my little piece of the pie. With the economy stabilizing and home prices starting to level off, it is now just a matter of getting in on the deals while you still can!!!
